My favorite ice cream around!! So many good choices....it's always hard to decide which to choose. I tend to gravitate toward "Spouse Like a House"..I know, I know..weird name. How does malted vanilla ice cream with chocolate covered pretzels filled with peanut butter sound? Yep, it tastes as good as it sounds. Open Year around...YIPEE!! :)

Handel's is a staple in my summer diet. They have loads of flavors, each sounding better than the next. I tend to switch between Spouse Like a House and Butter Pecan. Their butter pecan is loaded with fresh nuts and it's the perfect blend of sweet and savory. They have lots of seasonal favorites, my favorite is Girl Scout Thin Mint available during Girl Scout cookie season. Mint ice cream with huge pieces of thin mints, mmmm. The prices aren't too bad, you can get a single scoop (which is HUGE) for about $1.95, I believe. Maybe a bit more than other places, but not outrageous. Plus one day near the end of July or August they have dollar cone days where every flavor is one dollar plus other specials year round.

My favorite ice cream!!! I would be in so much trouble if I had the ability to go here every day. My favorite is banana cream pie, but I have never picked a flavor I did not like. They also do 4 scoop samplers that make my life so much easier. You sometimes have to wait because they have to scoop/make each order, but I think they usually have a decent amount of people working at once. My only complaint is that I wish they did baby scoops (I understand how it would have to be in a dish because it would be hard to get it in a cone), even if it was only for kids.

Oh, so good! The four scoop sampler is the best buy at $3.95. Chocolate fans don't miss the chocoholic chunk. Deep dark chocolate with big pieces of chocolate buried within. Salted caramel is amazing too. Other favorites include the cotton candy confetti to bring back find childhood memories and the butter pecan. Handel pops are like dilly bars from DQ but in different flavors like mint. In other words, dipped ice cream bars. And the chocolate dipped bananas aren't bad either. No indoor seating just a few patio tables, so dress for the weather or take a pint home.

Honestly there's really nothing overly exciting about their ice cream. They also have a ridiculous baby cone policy that you can only get a baby cone in vanilla if you want a diff flavor you are charged for a regular cone. I was really unimpressed with their flavor of the month "thin mint" it had did not have very many thin mint pieces in it and the ice cream tasted like vanilla with green food coloring no mint taste at all. I give 2 stars because they are open year round so if you want something basic like just a plain vanilla cone during the dead of winter then their your spot and they have ice cream treats for dogs which is nice but like I said there is really nothing overly exciting about this place.

I was expecting a normal ice cream blizzard when I ordered the cheesecake... Boy was I wrong!!! There were REAL cheesecake chunks, and the ice cream was absolutely delicious! A little pricey, but definitely worth it.

Absolutely the best ice cream with the best variety that I've ever had. The prices are fair and the scoops are generous. We came every day for the week we spent in Canton for the USA Football Developmental League.

This place pleasantly surprised me. I had been here once or twice before several years ago but I really didn't remember what it was like. I expected average ice cream at an average price. First of all, I was impressed at the wide selection of ice cream. I found several flavors that I would love to try another time. I decided on the Coffee Chocolate Chip. It's hand-dipped but incredibly soft. Honestly, I think it's the softest hand-dipped ice cream I've ever had. I love coffee but I've found that I don't enjoy many coffee-flavored things because they usually are too strong or too weak. This, however, was perfect. There were a lot of chocolate chips in it, but not too many. Service was average at best, but it didn't really affect my opinion of the place. I rarely give out 5 stars especially to chains, but I have to in this case.

Standard Ice cream chain. Overpriced, but a nice place to stop and get ice cream while going for a walk on the Hoover park walking path. Clean and orderly with some outdoor seating around the corner

Since last summer the ice cream at this particular Handels was terrible. The butter pecan tasted like it had no butter, so the ice cream had little flavor. I don't know if they are skimping on ingredients or what but several people I know have said stick with Milk & Honey or the other new place of Easton (Heaven something)
